****Notice****The September 5th, Lake Loramie tournament, is changed to Stonelick Lake.
This change is being made as a precaution due to the
"Bloom Advisory" issued by the State: (Algae Advisory Update).
As of August 19, the State has NOT issued a "Toxin Advisory" for Lake Loramie, but making the change now gives us plenty of time to notify EBC anglers of the change.
Dave and I felt if we waited, and a "Toxin Advisory" would/could be issued closer to the tournament, it would be more difficult to notify everyone.
The September 5, tournament, is a non-points tournament. Sorry if the schedule change causes any inconvenience. Hope to see everybody at Stonelick. Please pass the word!
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

Congratulations to the Fish-Off Winners, Dan Holtzapple & Doyle Donnett.
The fish-Off was the toughest EBC tournament most of us fished, in a long, long, time. The
Fish-Off Results, speaks louder than words.
The next tournament is August 22, Hoover Reservoir, Twin Bridges Ramp, points. Looking forward to a good turnout, and weigh in.
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

Congratulations to Bob Davis & Jack Campbell, who won back-to-back tournaments! Congratulations to young, Mitch Johnson.
Mitch caught the tournament Big Bass at Eastwood, 2 lbs. 15 oz. smallie.
The next tournament is the Fish-Off. The Fish-Off is a special tournament, for the teams who finished in the top 12 in points, last season, 2009. If your team was in the top 12, 2009 points,
and you can't make it to the Fish-Off, please let Dave Riesinger know, ASAP! By letting Dave know you can't make it to the Fish-Off, gives the next team in line an opportunity to take
your place, and fill the top 12 positions.
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

Twenty-seven teams fought off hungry mosquitos as they signed up and launched their boats at Indian Lake, Moundwood Ramp. We recommend having some
Mosquito Repellant on hand for the duration of the season. The mosquitos were BAD!
Not only were the mosquitos hungry, so were the full moon, largemouth bass.
Seventeen of the twenty-seven teams weighed in five bass limits, and a total of 104 bass were weighed. The 104 bass equals 3.85 bass per team. That's a great number of
bass on any tournament lake we fish.
Seven teams received payouts, and the last payout team weighed in 8 lbs. 7 1/2 oz. of largemouths. The winner, David Hawk, weighed in 11 lbs. 2 1/2 oz., congratulations David.
Tournament Big Bass was an impressive 4 lbs. 8 oz., weighed in by Matt Petry, congratulations Matt.
This is the first EBC tournament, that 6+ lbs. of bass, placed as far down as sixteenth.
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

Heavy rain and dangerous lightning delayed the Sunday, June 6, 6:00 a.m. scheduled start. After the storm passed, we started the tournament at 7:30 a.m.
All members unanimously agreed to fish for eight hours, and weigh-in at 3:30 p.m.
I was very glad I entered the tournament. At the weigh-in, the team of Steve Shellhaas & Jay Siefring, together carried their bag of five bass bag to the scale.
Steve reached into their bag and pulled out a 4 lb. 14 ounce largemouth, the big bass of the tournament. Then Steve and Jay removed the remaining 4 largemouth from their bag.
The bass were weighed, and the Electric Bass Circuit, five bass limit was shattered. Steve and Jay weighed-in an astounding weight of, 19 pounds 7 ounces,
an average weight of 3.88 pounds per bass!
Congratulations Steve and Jay!
We would also like to acknowledge the second place team, Tayler Coy & Ryan Boyer. Tayler & Ryan weighed-in an impressive 11 lb. 1 oz., five bass limit!

Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

Ohio 15” Minimum Length Lakes
The ODRN has a couple proposals on their agenda about changing the bass size limit on 15” minimum lakes. The proposal we (EBC Directors) would like to see follows :

What the above proposal means is:
• Each angler is allowed 4 bass each
• Two bass under 15”
• Two Bass over 15”
Of course, tournament rules state, "There is a five fish limit per boat: Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass."
If the proposal passes, teams can weigh-in four bass under 15”, and one bass over 15”, four bass over 15”, and one under 15”, two bass over 15”, and three under 15”, and so on.
A person fishing by themselves would be allowed to weigh-in a total of four bass, two under 15”, and two over 15”.
Your team would not be allowed to weigh-in five bass over 15”, or five bass under 15”.
Those of us who fished the two 2010, Acton tournaments knows, many chunky bass, 14” – 14 ¾” were caught and released. That becomes very frustrating on a 15” minimum lake.
Please let us know you thoughts about the proposal by replying to the “Ohio 15” Limit Lakes” thread,
on the Message Board.
Dave Riesinger will be passing out forms for us to mail to the appropriate personnel expressing our opinions.
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

Nice turnout for the season opener, thirty-two teams. It was nice to see familiar faces, and several new teams. We hope you enjoyed the tournament!
Congratulations to the tournament winners, Jamie Gray & Mike Hartzell, and Jay Siefring who weighed-in the 3 lb. 2 1/2 oz. big bass.
Hope to see all of you again at the Sunday, May 2, Acton Lake Tournament. Acton is a 15" minimum length lake.
Note: For those of you who entered the 50/50 drawing, the drawing is held after the weigh-in.
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

There's a great Website / Forum for those of us who fish small boats, and bass tourneys, TinBoats.net.
Tinboats.net is fast becoming the number one website for anything having to do with aluminum boats. If you are planning a jon boat conversion, jon boat modification,
or just want to talk about anything that floats your boat, you have come to the right place.
We hope you take the time to visit TinBoats.net. TinBoats.net were kind enough to add us, Electric Bass Circuit, to their
Bass Clubs (Electric Only, Jons, Regular), forum: http://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=62
Thank you TinBoats.net for adding the EBC to your forum. We hope our members will spread the word, and become members of your site!
Thank you,
EBC Tournament Directors

We were pleased to see so many new faces at the meeting, in a packed Gander Mountain Lodge room, on February 28. There were only two minor changes.
1. Membership fees will be $10.00 per season, beginning this year, 2010.
2. There will be a 100% pay back at all tournaments.
We were also happy to reach a new goal in our 2009 season. We averaged 21 boats per tournament. We thank every team, we hope you enjoyed our tournaments,
and return to fish our 2010 tournament season.

As many of you know, back on March 7, 2007, a soldier based at Camp Liberty, Iraq, CW3 Billy Shults, posted on our message board.
CW3 Shults requested a fishing care package for our troops because they were unable to purchase fishing tackle in Iraq.
Electric Bass Circuit members, along with the help of The Bass Station, and the Patriots at the VFW Sabec Memorial Post 9582,
sent a fishing care package to our troops.
The soldiers of Alpha 1-14 FA, honored us with a United States Flag which was flown over the Headquarters of
the Multi-National Corps-Iraq in our honor during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Included with the Flag, was a Certificate and Request Form.
We thank the soldiers of Alpha 1-14 FA, and all of our soldiers, stateside and abroad.
After the weigh-in at yesterdays Stonelick Lake tournament, EBC members had a group photo session with the Flag and Certificate.
The photos are posted below.

Several years ago I read an article about Through-The-Gill Hook Removal, and I'm very glad I did.
A few weeks after reading the article, I was bass fishing on a windy day. The wind made fishing quite difficult.
I was using a tube with a 1/16 ounce weight. I detected a bite, but it was too late, a 2 lb. bass swallowed my tube,
along with the hook.
I remembered reading the Through-The-Gill Hook Removal article, and the only chance for the bass survival was for me to try the
Through-The-Gill Hook Removal method. The method worked great!!! Not one drop of blood, and the bass swam away to fight another day.
Click on the link below for step-by-step instructions. I recommend all bass anglers check it out.
